Healthy Horses Conference at UF College of Veterinary Medicine
Sally DeNotta, DVM, PhD, DACVIM

Welcome to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine’s 11th Annual Healthy Horses Conference on FRIDAY, JULY 19, 2019!  Healthy Horses is an educational day with a focus on successful equine health care.  The day includes lectures, lunch and live equine demonstrations. This year’s topics include updates on important infectious diseases, new developments in equine behavior, eye emergencies, colic prevention, just to name a few. Additionally, this year we are featuring a special afternoon program dedicated entirely to Equine Nutrition! Join us for this "Nutrition Round Up" and learn about how to create a successful nutrition program and choose the feed and supplement products right for you and your horse. Lunch, door prizes and live equine demonstrations are also included in registration. We will also feature tours and a high speed treadmill demonstration again this year.  The presenters will predominantly be the board certified faculty of UF’s Large Animal Hospital, and a brief summary folder of the lectures will be provided to all attendees.  The University of Florida is dedicated to improving owner education and we hope you will make this an annual event.  It is a wonderful opportunity to see our hospital facility and meet veterinarians from all of our services.  Plenty of time for questions will be provided.  Registration is limited and can be completed here online, so please register soon!  Please be sure to also visit our UF equine extension websites for additional equine event information at http://extension.vetmed.ufl.edu/equine-extension/equine-veterinary-extension-programs/ and https://extension.vetmed.ufl.edu/equine-extension/.   We hope to see you in July!!
