16th International Symposium for the Interaction of the Effects of Munitions with Structures
Nov. 9-13, 2015
Destin , FL
The Doolittle Institute and University of Florida invite you to attend the 16thInternational Symposium on the Interaction of the Effects of Munitions with Structures (ISIEMS). In addition to continuing the tradition of an outstanding technical program, we welcome everyone to the Emerald Coast where emerald green waters, white sandy beaches, and some of the world’s most friendly people are the backdrop and home to the United States’ premiere location for designing survivable bunkers and bunker busting munitions.
This symposium promises to be a week of connecting with and learning from partners and leaders in the field of munitions and structures through a series of papers, presentations, and in-depth discussions. At the conclusion of the symposium, you will be better equipped as leaders in this important and critical field.
Locally, Eglin Air Force Base hosts the Army Ranger School, the Navy's Explosive Ordnance Demolition School, the Air Force's F-35 International School, Development and Operational Weapon Testing, and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Munitions Directorate. Our military neighbors include the Navy Coastal Systems Laboratory, Air Force F-22 School, the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Air Force Special Operations Command at Hulburt Field, and the Air Force Civilian Engineer laboratory in Panama City.
In addition to the University of Florida, we are supported by numerous other Universities and Colleges to include the Florida State University, Auburn University, University of West Florida, North West Florida State College, Georgia Tech Institute of Technology, Gulf State College, Troy State University, Tuskegee University, and Emory-Riddle Aeronautical University.
