Scope
The bistability of spin transition materials has long inspired studies into potential applications related to information storage and colorimetric sensing, while more recent advances in materials discovery, fabrication methods and understanding of solid-state behavior have led to demonstrations of wider ranging technologies in nanoelectronics, molecular spintronics, photonics, as mechanical actuators, and in cooperative adsorption.
The focus of theinternational conference on Phase Transition and Dynamical Properties of Spin Transition Materials(PDSTM) is basic research on spin-transitions and related phase transition materials. The conference gathers experts in all aspects of spin-transition research including physicists interested in phase behavior and new phenomena based on spin-state switching, chemists with expertise in the design and synthesis of new switchable materials with new properties, materials researchers applying modern fabrication methods and device technologies, and theoreticians tackling the complex multiscale problem of coupling electronic spin-states to the elastic properties of macroscopic as well as nanoscale materials.
The conference format is single session (no parallel sessions) with invited talks as well as contributed oral and poster presentations. The workshop style facilitates the dissemination of new developments and frank discussion among practitioners with wide ranging expertise of the state of the discipline.
PDSTM-2019 is the seventh meeting of this international community stemming from the original PDSTM in Tokyo in 2006. Previously alternately held in Europe and Japan, PDSTM-2019 will be the first time the conference comes to North America.

**Registration covers conference materials, conference breaks, conference lunches and dinners, banquet and excursion. There is also an Accompanying Persons fee for $200 that includes conference dinners, banquet and excursion.
