Kissimmee, FL

SEMA Officers Message

**THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED**

Valued SEMA Members and Utility Professionals,

I am pleased to announce the 96th Annual SEMA Short Course and Conference.  SEMA was established in 1925, and this year we celebrate 96 years of educating utility professionals about electric metering and our interaction with the rest of the power industry.  Now more than ever, training is vital for all utility personnel to keep up with our ever-changing technical industry.

This year’s learning event is being held October 31 - November 2, 2022, at the Embassy Suits by Hilton, Orlando Lake Buena Vista South, Kissimmee.

Today’s electric meter has evolved into a very important asset for utilities requiring specific training in keeping the metering professional at the leading edge of technology advancements. This year’s learning event will have multiple tracks that are designed to provide an opportunity to learn and discover these advanced offerings of today’s electric metering technology.

SEMA provides the participant with a comfortable learning environment, technical experts, hands-on demonstrations and social activities. SEMA is all about providing the most up-to-date information and collaborating our experiences to see the participant succeed in their profession.  We have a great team of metering professionals that are designing the curriculum and courses to meet the needs of the electric utilities.

The success of SEMA is attributed to our association with The University of Florida, meter and equipment manufacturers, vendors, and utility professionals like you.  Not only is this an outstanding learning event; but it also provides the opportunity to socially interact with meter engineers, utility peers, and vendors that deliver the products used in metering.

We have all volunteered our time to be part of this organization because we care about our profession and sharing our experiences with you.  We look forward to seeing you in Kissimmee in November.

If you have any questions or comments about this event, please do not hesitate to contact the committee members.

We are the Keepers of our Craft,

Michael Foote,
