SmellTaste 2019

May 17-19, 2019

Gainesville, FL

Welcome

The University of Florida Center for Smell and Taste and the UK-based charity Fifth Sense are excited to announce SmellTaste2019. This conference for people that have a smell or taste disorder builds on the success of the first SmellTaste conference, in 2017. SmellTaste2019 will take place May 17-19, 2019 in Gainesville, Florida, USA, on the campus of the University of Florida.

For those affected by smell or taste disorders, SmellTaste2019 will provide you with the opportunity to share experiences, gain mutual support, and, we hope, find ways of better coping with your condition through a number of workshops and social events. We also welcome clinicians, researchers and others with an interest in smell and taste to join us and develop a better understanding of just how important these senses are to our lives.

The planned program for SmellTaste2019 will include educational sessions with leading smell and taste researchers, clinicians and patient advocates. These sessions will cover the science of smell and taste and the development of new treatments for smell and taste impairments. We will include a report on the new UF Health Smell Disorders Program, an effort to provide patient care, education and support for people with smell disorders that was inspired by SmellTaste2017. The conference will include several interactive sessions where attendees can drive the discussion and share their own experiences. We also are planning an informal social on Friday evening (location TBD) and a banquet Saturday evening (location TBD).

Registration includes the full meeting program, meeting materials, a catered luncheon on Saturday, and the conference banquet on Saturday evening (guest tickets can be purchased for the banquet separately).

We hope to see you in Gainesville for SmellTaste2019!

Sincerely,
