US Participants and other non-Japanese participants:

The U.S. contribution to the Conference Program of podium and poster presentations will be compiled from abstracts submitted through the website.  Any qualified scientist interested in attending the meeting is invited to submit an abstract.  All suitable abstracts submitted by the deadline will be competitively reviewed and scored.  The final program of podium presentations and posters will be compiled from the highest scoring abstracts.

Due Date: The deadline for submitting abstracts is August 31, 2014.  Poster Presentation deadline extended through September 30, 2014

Submission guidelines: Accepted abstracts will be compiled into an e-Book for attendees; therefore the following format is necessary for review, acceptance and inclusion:

  • Any readable font
  • One page, metric size A4
  • Digital format (i.e. doc, docx, PDF and not scanned image file).
  • Color may be included, for example in a figure.
  • Please identify presenting author, contributing co-authors, and institutions at the top of your 1-page abstract
  • On the Submission Page, under Presenter Information, when listing the Authors of the abstract please add their institutions next to their name. Example: John Smith-University of Florida; Jane Doe- Institution Name

Oral or Poster Presentation Type: *When submitting your abstract, under Presenter Information, for Presentation Type please select your preference.  By selecting your preference you are not guaranteed that presentation type. You will be notified if you have been selected for an oral presentation or poster presentation.

Corresponding authors of abstracts selected for presentation will be notified shortly after abstracts are reviewed.  In keeping with the mission of international collaboration fostered by the US-Japan Joint Conference on Cholera and Other Bacterial Enteric Infections, podium presenters will be asked to provide an extended abstract for the meeting book.  This extended abstract has long been particularly appreciated by attending scientists for whom English is not the primary language. The e-Book or the meeting book will be provided to all the participants.  It is an electronic version of the abstract book and is considered an in-house information book and not a valid publication.

Abstracts can be submitted here or by clicking on the Abstract Submission tab on the left.
