on Higher Education & Scientific Institutions

May 15-18, 2017

St. Pete Beach, FL

Conference Overview
On behalf of the host institutions (University of South Florida, University of Florida, University of Central Florida, Florida State University, and Florida International University), and in cooperation with the Association of University Export Control Officers (AUECO), we would like to invite you to attend the 5th annual Impact of Export Controls on Higher Education and Scientific Institutions meeting, which will be held in St. Pete Beach, FL on May 15-18, 2017.

This will be a 3-day conference on export controls for the academic and scientific community that will provide the ideal forum for exchanging information and best practices regarding U.S. export, import, and trade sanctions laws and regulations. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy plenty of networking opportunities with both other attendees and invited speakers.

The conference will also provide an opportunity for the Department of Commerce, BIS, the Department of State, DDTC, the Department of Treasury, OFAC, and other government agencies to engage the university community on the export control issues that specifically affect universities, clinical research centers, and other nonprofit research institutions.

As an Export Control professional, attending this conference will be both educational and beneficial for you and your institution. Materials, including presentation slides will be made available to all attendees.
